Sophomore Shane Apito secured first-place finishes in the 200 and 400 meter free.

Men's Swimming and Diving Falls Short to Baruch, 94-90

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-3, 0-1 NJAC) fell short to Baruch College, 94-90.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Sophomore Shane Apito (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) finished first twice in the 200 meter free (2:18.05) and 400 meter free (4:55.18).
  • Freshman David Rios (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) secured two first-place finishes in the 50 meter free (26.36) and the 100 meter free (59.87).
  • WP touched the wall first in the 200 meter medley relay, finishing with a time of 2:10.01, with efforts by juniors Jackson Forrest (Lewes, Del./Wayne Valley), Andrew Colligan (Andover, N.J./Sussex County Tech), Brandon Arias (North Haledon, N.J./Passaic County Tech) and freshman Rios.
