WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (9-11) blanks Rutgers-Newark (0-14) in NJAC play, 3-0 at the Sports and Recreation Center on Oct. 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Pioneers secured set wins of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-14.
• WP outscored the Scarlet Raiders 12-1 in aces.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman Erica Bickart (Tucson, Ariz./Marana) led the Pioneers with 11 kills and freshman Ava Padwelka (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) posted 24 assists.
• Freshman Abigail Hayth (Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) recorded a team-high 14 digs and freshman Kiyarah Hicks (Redmond, Ore./Redmond) tallied three service aces.
