Women’s Soccer Suffers 6-1 Setback at No. 16/12 TCNJ

EWING, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (1-7-3, 0-3 NJAC) suffered a 6-1 setback at No. 16/12 The College of New Jersey (8-1-1, 3-0 NJAC) Oct. 1.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Lions owned a 4-0 halftime lead thanks to goals in the 15th, 23rd, 25th and 44th minutes.
  • TCNJ added scores in the 60th and 63rd minutes.
  • Sophomore midfielder Madelynn Spink (Bellmawr, N.J./Audubon) notched her second goal of the season with a 20-yard free kick, getting the Pioneers onto the scoreboard at the 84:27 mark.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman Sarah Mantilla (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) collected nine saves for WP.
