Senior William Pike finished first in the 100 breast

Men’s Swimming & Diving Upended at Home Against Ramapo, 127-49

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson Men's swimming and diving team (6-4, 0-2 NJAC) had its five-meet win streak come to an end as the Pioneers were upended by conference opponent Ramapo (2-3, 1-3 NJAC), 127-49 on Jan 28.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior William Pike (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) secured a first-place finish for WP in the 100 breast with a time of 1:13.28. Pike also added a fifth-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:12.03.
  • The William Paterson 200 freestyle relay team consisting of senior Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley), sophomore Anthony Newman (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany), sophomore Sung Ni Mukanda, and senior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) earned the win for the Pioneers with a team time of 1:54.20.
  • Perez also contributed to the WP total, touching the wall second in the 100 breast (1:17.56) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:32.26).
