Apito’s Three Win Meet Helps Push Men’s Swimming & Diving Past Mount Saint Mary, 81-63

NEWBURUGH, N.Y. – Freshman Shane Apito (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) won all three of his events to help the William Paterson Men's swimming and diving team (4-3) push past Mount St. Mary (1-7), 81-63 on January 15.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Apito secured wins for WP in the 100 fly (1:00.09), the 200 IM (2:27.72), and the 500 free (5:42.34).
  • Senior Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) contributed to the Pioneer total with a first-place finish in the 1000 free (13:13.99) and a second-place finish in the 100 back (1:14.07).
  • Sophomore Andrew Colligan (Andover, N.J./Sussex County Tech) touched the wall first in the 100 free with a time of 56.33 and touched third in the 50 free with a time of 24.60.

  • William Paterson continues on the road as they travel to Western Connecticut Friday, January 21 at 4:00 p.m.
