Gadaleta Scores Lone Goal to Push Men’s Soccer Past Centenary, 1-0

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – Junior back Johnny Gadaleta (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) scored the games only goal early in the second half to give the William Paterson Men's soccer team (3-0-1) the 1-0 win over Centenary (0-4-0) and extend its winning streak to three games on Sep 9.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The scoreless tie was quickly ended early in the second half as a corner kick by junior midfielder David Moreira (Pittstown, N.J./North Hunterdon) was headed in by Gadaleta which gave the Pioneers the 1-0 lead and eventually the win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Junior goalkeeper Sean Furtek (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) started his first game for WP recording two saves and the shutout.
