WAYNE, N.J. – Despite a late goal from senior forward Jacob Von Giebel (Lambertville, N.J./South Hunterdon), the William Paterson men's soccer team (3-1-1) was unable to mount a comeback against Cabrini (4-0), suffering its first loss of the season by a 2-1 count, Sept. 10.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Cabrini kicked off the scoring early, converting a kick at the 4:00 mark.
• The Cavaliers would also strike again at the 68' mark of the second half, making it a 2-0 game.
• Von Giebel got WP on the board in the 79' minute, off an assist from freshman forward Diego Navas Trujillo (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Junior goalkeeper Thomas Hatch (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) had three saves on five shots

UP NEXT:

• William Paterson stays on the road again tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 11th at 4:00 p.m. against Eastern University
