Penalty Shot Late in Second Half Lifts Men’s Soccer Past Jersey City, 1-0

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Freshman forward Daniel Ramm (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Twp. ) converted on a penalty shot opportunity to score the games lone goal that lifted William Paterson men's soccer (2-1-0) past New Jersey City (0-4-0) 1-0 on April 3.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The game remained scoreless until the 76:31 mark when a penalty on the Gothic Knights set up the Ramm's penalty shot goal to give the Pioneers the 1-0 lead, which WP held to the end of regulation.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Thomas Hatch (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) recorded 5 saves for  and earned his third career shutout for the Pioneers.
  • Ramm's goal today was the first of his WP career.
