Tennis Closes out Regular Season with 9-0 Setback to Kean

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's tennis team (0-6, 0-6) closed out its regular season slate by dropping a 9-0 decision to Kean (2-4, 2-4 NJAC) April 23.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Kean used a trio of 8-0 decision to open a 3-0 lead after doubles play.
In first singles, Jordan Sweet (Camden, N.J./Brimm Medical Arts) won two games in each set before falling 2-6, 2-6.
Newcomer Taylor Mastropasqua (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) claimed a pair of games during her first collegiate match (1-6, 1-6), while Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) dropped a tough 1-6, 2-6 decision in fifth singles.

UP NEXT:

WP will compete in the opening round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament Wednesday, April 28.
