UNION, N.J. – Two fourth-quarter goals were the difference as the William Paterson field hockey team (1-1, 1-1 NJAC) fell at Kean (5-0, 3-0 NJAC), 3-1, March 31.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Cougars broke the scoreless tie less than a minute before halftime.
• Sophomore forward Catie Wilson (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood) knotted the game at 1-1 less than a minute into the third period, finishing a deflection off a defender's stick.
• Kean found the back of the cage twice during a two-minute span, the first a redirect in the 53rd minute and the second a penalty stroke in the 54th minute.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman Emily Hoagland (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) stopped seven shots for the Pioneers.
