NJAC Tournament Championship Bracket
PITMAN, N.J. – The sixth-seeded William Paterson volleyball team (0-5, 0-5 NJAC) will begin its quest for a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament title when the Pioneers play in the quarterfinals Thursday, March 18, at third-seeded Kean (3-2, 3-2 NJAC) at 7:00 p.m.Â

WHAT'S ON THE LINE:
- The winner advances to the semifinal round Tuesday, March 23, at second-seeded Montclair State (4-1, 4-1 NJAC) at 7:00 p.m. The highest remaining seed will host the championship match Thursday, March 25, at a time to be determined.

WP IN THE NJAC TOURNAMENT:
- The Pioneers will be playing in their 16th NJAC Tournament (1982, 1983, 1991, 001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2018, 2021), and are in search of the first tournament victory since topping Rowan, 3-0 in the 2009 first round. The Pioneers are seeking their fourth conference title (1982, 1983, 1991).

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS:
- Junior outside hitter Dakota Apicella (Kendall Park, N.J./South Brunswick) has paced the Pioneer attack this season, leading the team in kills (37) and kills per set (2.85).
- Defensively, Apicella and Kathleen Burrough (North Burlington, N.J./North Burlington) are tops with 43 digs apiece, followed by libero Taylor Crowley's (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) 41.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
- Sophomore Kyla Thornton and senior Michelle Froelich lead Kean's attack, posting 37 and 35 kills, respectively.
- Setter Kylie Brua has tallied 85 assists and 6.07 assists per set this spring.
- Junior libero Amanda DeLio ranked second in the conference with 3.93 digs per set, while Froelich's 3.33 rates fifth.
