Men’s Swimming and Diving Overcome by Montclair State

Raul Mancera finished with a pair of fifth place finishes.
WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (0-2, 0-2 NJAC), was unable to out-swim conference opponent Montclair State (2-0, 2-0 NJAC) as the Pioneers were defeated, 168-68 on Feb. 20.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Freshman Andrew Colligan (Andover, N.J./Sussex County Technical) tallied a fourth-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 55.14.
  • Classmate Jackson Forrest (Lewes, Del./Wayne Valley) touched the wall fourth in the 100 back with a time of 1:02.55.
  • Senior Raul Mancera (Trenton, N.J./Nottingham) contributed points to the Pioneer total with a pair of fifth place finishes in both the 50 fly (27.51) and 100 fly (1:03.39).

UP NEXT:
  • The Pioneers will return to Wightman pool Saturday, Feb. 27, at 1:00 p.m. as they finish out their shortened season with virtual meet against Ramapo.
