MADISON, N.J.- The William Paterson women's basketball team (1-3) took down FDU-Florham (0-4) on the road, 52-49 on Nov.20, for its first win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• A low-scoring first quarter ended with an 11-10 FDU lead.
• Down four at the beginning of the second half, the Pioneers went on a 10-5 run, grabbing back the lead at 31-30, with 6:47 left in the third.
• WP held a seven point lead with five minutes left and held off a late push from FDU, including a strong defensive stop on the final possession.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Senior forward Justina Cabezas (Carlstadt, N.J./Becton Regional) registered a career-high 20 points and 12 rebounds, adding three blocks while capturing her fourth career double-double.
• Senior forward Brianna Brooks (Saddle Brook, N.J./Saddle Brook) added 13 points, nine rebounds and five steals.
• WP shot 10-for-13 on free throws (.769_.
