WAYNE, N.J.- The William Paterson men's basketball team (3-1) took down Brooklyn College (0-4) at home, 81-50, Nov. 17, as graduate student guard
Domenic Mignone (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford) eclipsed 1,000 career points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Pioneers jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead off three straight three-pointers.
- Strong play on both ends of the court from WP created a 43-22 lead at the end of the first half.
- A ferocious slam dunk from freshman guard Ricardo Jones (Paterson, N.J./John F. Kennedy) gave WP a 79-40 lead with 5:18 left to play/
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Mignone finished his night with 20 points, seven rebounds and three assists. He is the 32nd player in Pioneer men's basketball history to score 1,000 career points.
- Senior guard Adryan Lopez (Garfield, N.J./Lyndhurst) recorded 10 points and six rebounds.
- Junior forward Michael Gilmore (Teaneck, N.J./Pine Forge Academy) grabbed a grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds.
- Jones also finished with an impressive eight rebounds.
UP NEXT:
- The Pioneers travel to face Ramapo Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in their first New Jersey Athletic Conference game of the season.
