WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (0-1) dropped its season opener to Baruch (1-1), 106-96, Oct. 29.

TOP PERFORMERS:

• Freshman Shane Apito (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) started his Pioneer swim career with two first-place finishes in the 100 fly (59.28) and 200 free (2:03.27), as well as touching the wall second in the 200 IM (2:23.58).
• The 200 free relay team consisting of sophomore Jackson Forrest (Lewes, Del./Wayne Valley), senior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton), senior Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) and sophomore Ricardo Ordinola (Lodi, N.J./Passaic County Tech) secured a first-place finish for WP with a time of 1:46.47.
