WAYNE,N.J.- The William Paterson men's soccer team (6-9-2, 1-6-1 NJAC) defeated Stockon (8-8-2, 4-3-1 NJAC) 1-0, off a early goal from senior forward Jacob Von Giebel (Lambertville, N.J./South Hunterdon) for their first New Jersey Athletic Conference win of the year, Oct. 23.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Von Giebel found the back of the net in the fourth minute off a cross from junior midfielder David Moreira (Pittstown, N.J./North Hunterdon).
• WP held strong defensively the whole game, as junior goalkeeper Thomas hatch only faced four shots.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Von Giebel upped his season goal count to 11
• Hatch recorded his second shutout of the season
