Three Pioneers Record Hat Tricks in Win against CCNY

WAYNE, N.J.- The William Paterson men's soccer team (5-9-2, 0-6-1 NJAC) took down The City College of New York (3-6) 10-0 behind three hat tricks from senior forward Jacob Von Giebel (Lambertville, N.J./South Hunterdon), junior forward Opeoluwa Olaloko (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) and freshman forward Diego Navas Trujillo (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Olaloko opened the scoring for the Pioneers just 16 seconds into the game.
  • WP scored finish the first half with six goals.
  • Following an own goal by CCNY in the 64' minute, the Pioneers scored three more goals in the final 30 minutes.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Olaloko secured his first three goals of his Pioneer career.
  • Von Giebel raises his goal total to 10 for the season.
  • Navas Trujillo scored his sixth, seventh and eighth goals of the year.
  • Junior goalkeeper Sean Furtek (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) secured his second shutout of the season.
