WAYNE, N.J. – Sophomore forward
Julia Fiorito (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) scored in her fourth straight match, lifting the William Paterson women's soccer team (5-6, 2-4 NJAC) to 1-0 conference victory against visiting Rutgers-Newark (7-4-2, 1-4-1 NJAC) Oct. 13.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Scarlet Raiders nearly scored the equalizer with less than six minutes to play, but their shot rang off the right post.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Graduate student Erica Hickey (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) collected a season-best eight saves for her second shutout of the year. She now sits alone in fifth place on the WP career list with 11 clean sheets.
