Men's Swimming and Diving Drops Decision at Ramapo

The Pioneers Fell 147-104 to the Roadrunners

Junior Jonathan Vela dropped five seconds in the 200 fly since his last outing.

MAHWAH, N.J. – The men's swimming and diving team (8-6, 0-3 NJAC) was upended by Ramapo (5-2, 2-2 NJAC) with a 147-104 score Jan 28.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) touched first in the 1000 free with a personal-best pace of 10:39.44. He continued his winning ways with two more victories in the 500 free (5:25.01) and 200 IM (2:24.36).
Junior Honacy Beco Jr. (Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional) touched the wall in 1:02.26 to take first place in the 100 fly.
Junior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton) placed fourth in the 100 breast (1:13.30).
Junior Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) dropped five seconds from his last outing to notch 4^th place in the 200 fly (2:30.21).
Senior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) recorded a personal best for this season in the 200 free (1:54.39) for third place before touching second in the 100 free (51.78).

WP welcomes The College of New Jersey to Wightman Pool on Saturday, Feb. 1, for its last regular season meet before heading to the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 21-23.
