Men's Swimming and Diving Suffers Setback at Montclair State

The Pioneers Were Upended, 117-86, on the Road

The 200 free relay concluded the meet on a victorious note.

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Men's Swimming and Diving (8-5, 0-2 NJAC) suffered a 117-86 setback at Montclair State (3-6, 1-3 NJAC) Jan. 25.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) out-paced his competition for a first-place finish in the 50 free (23.57). The senior later recorded second place in the 100 free (51.86).
Junior Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) touched second in the 200 fly with a time of 2:35.39.
Junior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton) notched top points in the 200 breast (2:46.99).
A victorious 200 free relay was the final event of the meet for the men. Logue (23.65), junior Joey Croce (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) (25.81), junior John Conlow (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) (25.28) and senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) (23.75) combined for a time of 1:38.49.

UP NEXT:

The Pioneers continue conference competition on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Ramapo. The meet against the Roadrunners begins at 6:00 p.m.
