Video Highlights

WAYNE, N.J. – Sophomore goalie Tara Weniger (Somerset, N.J./Franklin) notched five saves while junior Kristin Freas-Papa (Westville, N.J./Gateway Regional) recorded a defensive save to secure William Paterson (6-3) to a 1-0 shutout against visiting Union (2-4) Sept. 25.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Senior Shannon Super (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood) scored the lone goal for the contest.  Classmate Michaela Meillier (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) contributed the assist to the early lead, putting the Pioneers up 1-0 in the 12^th minute.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Weniger recorded her first career shutout by denying five shots on goal from the Dutchwomen.
• Freas-Papa tallied her first defensive save of the season.
• WP has won all but one matchup against Union since 2013.
