Field Hockey Has Winning Streak Snapped at Arcadia, 2-1

Senior Shannon Super Records Late Goal in 59th Minute

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Despite a late goal from senior Shannon Super (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood), the William Paterson field hockey team (4-3) had its winning streak snapped by Arcadia (2-5) in a 2-1 loss Sept. 18.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Knights recorded a goal early in the contest (5') and again towards the end of the fourth quarter (54') to lead 2-0 with six minutes left in the game.  
  • Super found the back of the cage with less than two minutes left on the clock.  Junior Kristin Freas-Papa (Westville, N.J./Gateway Regional) claimed the assist.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • The loss snapped the Pioneers' four-game winning streak. 
 
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson hosts Neumann at Wightman Stadium on Friday, Sept. 20, at 6:00 p.m.
