WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's tennis team (0-2) battled throughout its home opener before falling to non-conference foe Lehman (4-0), 9-0, Sept. 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

After the Lightning took all three doubles flights by identical 8-1 scores, WP's young team showed some promise in singles play. Sophomore Jiyeon Kang (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) fought back-and forth in third singles before dropping the match, 2-6, 4-6.
Senior Julienn Guzman (Jersey City, N.J./Liberty) took three games in her fourth singles flight before falling 2-6, 1-6.
