SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A pair of first-half goals sank the William Paterson women's soccer team (1-1) at Skidmore (2-0), 2-0, Aug. 31.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Thoroughbreds converted in the 35th and 38th minutes, the first a finish off a ball played from the end line and the second a long-range shot from 35 yards.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Junior Erica Hickey (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) collected seven saves during the first 85:04 of play. Freshman goalkeeper Brooke Sachau (Franklin, N.J./Franklin) saw her first college action, finishing out the match
