Three Pioneers are Double Winners in the 118-76 WP Victory over SUNY-Delhi

Junior Valentine Perez Posts his First Collegiate Double-Winning Day

Valentine Perez notched victories in the 50 free and 100 free.

DELHI, N.Y. – A trio of Pioneers were double winners as part of a William Paterson men's swimming and diving (5-4, 0-1 NJAC) 118-76 victory at SUNY-Delhi Dec. 7.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Junior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton) posted his first career double-winning performance with first place finishes in the 50 free (24.84) and the 100 free (55.11).
Senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) was a double winner after touching first in the 200 IM (2:15.61) and the 100 back (1:01.24).
Classmate Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) also took home two wins. His time of 1:56.10 in the 200 free and 5:27.49 in the 500 free helped the Pioneers increase their score margin.
Junior Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) recorded a victory in the 1000 free with a first-place time of 11:52.25.
John Conlow (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) earned his first collegiate win. The junior notched a time of 1:18.59 in the 100 breast.
Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) touched the wall in 1:01.23 to notch a win in the 100 fly.

UP NEXT:

WP takes a break from competition for a winter training trip to Aruba on Jan. 2^nd before returning to Wightman Pool on Saturday, Jan. 11, for Senior Day against Lehman at 1:00 p.m.
