Sharkey is a Triple Winner, but Men's Swimming and Diving Drops Decision to Brooklyn

Jimmy Sharkey Takes First in the 200 Free, 500 Free, and 100 Back

Sharkey's triple-winning performance was the first of his career.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (4-4, 0-1 NJAC) was defeated by Brooklyn College (3-0, 1-0 CUNYAC) with a 108-93 outcome Nov. 23.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) was a triple winner against the Bulldogs with individual victories in the 200 free, the 100 back, and the 500 free. He touched the wall in 1:53.66, 1:00.43, and 5:20.15, respectively.
Junior Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) placed first in the 1000 free with a time of 11:29.15.
Senior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) was narrowly out-touched in the three races he participated in, placing second in each. He swam the 100 free in 50.22, the 100 breast in 1:09.73, and the 50 free in 23.03.
John Conlow (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) recorded a personal best time in the 500 free. The junior swam the race in 5:34.77 to place third.
Junior Joey Croce (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) also posted a personal best, swimming the 100 back in 1:06.74 for third place.

WP heads to SUNY Delhi on Saturday, Dec. 7, for a 1:00 p.m. meet.
