Men's Swimming and Diving Bests FDU-Florham

A Winning 200 Free Relay Finished the Race on a High Note

WAYNE, N.J. –The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-2) bested FDU-Florham (0-2), 109-90, as part of Parents Appreciation Day at Wightman Pool Nov. 2.

TOP PERFORMERS:

The Pioneers swam a victorious 200 free relay (1:45.64) to cap off the meet with a group effort from junior Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) (26.32), junior Joseph Croce (25.43), freshman Jason Peralta (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) (29.45) and junior Honacy Beco Jr. (Wantage, N.J./High Point Regional) (24.44).
Senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) placed first in a pair of races. He touched first in the 200 free with a time of 1:55.41 and the 100 back with a time of 59.48.
Senior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) was also a double winner, taking first in the 50 free (22.90) and the 100 free (50.49). He later contributed four more points to the WP score in the 100 breast (1:07.56). All three of his times were personal bests.
Beco touched first in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.20 and placed third in the 50 free (24.48).
