Video Highlights

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson field hockey team (7-5, 0-1 NJAC) utilized an overtime goal from senior Michaela Meillier (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) to defeat Scranton (7-5, 2-0 Landmark), 1-0, Oct. 9.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• After four quarters of scoreless play, Meillier deflected a pass from classmate Shannon Super (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood) around the goalie to end the overtime contest in the 66th minute.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Sophomore goalie Tara Weniger (Somerset, N.J./Franklin) notched one save.
• The Pioneers recorded three shots on goal while the Royals tallied one.

UP NEXT:

• William Paterson continues its home stretch on Saturday, Oct. 12, when it hosts No. 2 The College of New Jersey for conference play.  The game begins at 1:00 p.m.
