WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson women's tennis (0-8) claimed two singles victories and a doubles triumph before falling to Manhattanville (3-4), 6-3, Oct. 6.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The tandem of sophomore Jiyeon Kang (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) and freshman Claire Biennestin (Union, N.J./Union ) got the Pioneers on the board, registering an exciting 8-6 victory in third doubles.
Junior Carly McDaniel (Lincoln Park, N.J./Boonton) won her third singles competition of the season after downing Manhattanville's Kelsey Ulzheimer in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0.
Sophomore Anna Nunziato (Wyckoff, N.J./Ramapo) breezed to a convincing victory in fifth singles, posting a 6-1, 6-0 win over the Valiant's Ella Brown.

William Paterson travels to Hunter Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 3:30 p.m. The match will be played at the USTA National Tennis Center in Queens, N.Y.
