Men's Swimming and Diving Overcome by Maritime, 158-60

Junior Bradley Belina and Senior Eamon Logue Post Victorious Times

Junior Bradley Belina placed first in the 1000 free.
THROGGS NECK, N.Y. –The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (2-2) was unable to out-swim the Privateers, leading to a 158-60 decision at Maritime (1-0) Oct. 29. 
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) posted a first-place finish in the 1000 free (11:32.43).
  • Classmate Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) contributed points to the Pioneer score, placing third in the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.97.
  • Senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) was out-touched in the 100 back with a time of 1:02.20 to finish second.
  • Senior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) touched first in the 100 free (51.41), followed later by a second-place finish in the 100 breast (1:09.32).

The Pioneers return to Wightman Pool on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1:00 p.m. for a Parents Appreciation Meet against FDU-Florham.
