WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's soccer team (6-6-3, 2-2-2 NJAC) suffered a 3-0 setback against visiting Kean (9-4-2, 3-1-2 NJAC) Oct. 19.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Cougars found the back of the net in the 19th minute with a shot past the charging goalkeeper, then made it 2-0 just 18 seconds before halftime with a ball sent from just outside the right corner of the box.
• Kean finished the scoring in the 52nd minute when a ball up the seam was finished towards the center of the frame.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Freshman goalkeeper Thomas Hatch (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) collected eight stops for the Pioneers, and was aided by a first-half team save.
• With three regular-season matches remaining, WP is in seventh place in the conference standings, one point out of the final berth for the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament.
