Video Highlights

WAYNE, N.J. – Starting the day two points out of a five-way tie for first place in the conference standings, the William Paterson men's soccer team (6-4-3, 2-1-2 NJAC) picked up three valuable points with a 2-0 victory against Stockton (9-3-2, 2-2-1 NJAC) Oct. 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The majority of play came between the two boxes until the 73rd minute, when a corner kick caromed out to senior forward/midfielder Chris Fuentes (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Regional) on the left side. He played a ball toward the right corner of the six-yard box to senior forward Keysean Brant-Sharp (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), who threaded a ball toward the center of the frame for senior forward/midfielder Jordan Saling (Haledon, N.J./Paramus Catholic). Saling finished the opportunity for his seventh goal of the season and a 1-0 lead.
  • WP added an insurance goal with 24 seconds remaining when senior forward/midfielder Kyle Adams (Bordentown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) launched a ball up the left flank and sophomore back/midfielder Chris Laccetti (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) charged onto it and converted to the right side for his second career marker.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman goalkeeper Thomas Hatch (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) made five stops for his second career shutout.
