Men's Swimming and Diving Ended its Winning Streak by Falling to Montclair State in NJAC Competition

The Men Recorded a Pair of Personal Best Times

WAYNE, N.J. – The men's swimming and diving team (9-4, 0-2 NJAC) had its winning streak snapped after a 90-109 loss to NJAC rival Montclair State (3-5, 2-2 NJAC) on Jan 26.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Junior Terrence Hopkins (Landing, N.J./Roxbury) claimed first place in the 100 breast with a time of 1:13.23.
Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) placed second in the 100 free with a personal best time of 50.81. The junior also touched second in the 50 free (23.34).
Senior Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) swam his personal best of the season in the 200 free (1:54.11) to take fourth.
Junior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) touched first in the 1000 free with a time of 11:11.94 and second in the 500 free with a time of 5:24.66.
WP won the 200 free relay (1:35.13) to conclude the meet. Logue (23.52), Sharkey (24.68), sophomore Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton) (24.18), and Macchia (22.75) worked together to notch points for the Pioneers.
