WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's tennis team (0-1) could not get past Farmingdale State University (1-1), falling 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the WP Tennis Courts.
Freshman
Jiyeon Kang (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen ) took a pair of games in each set before falling to Rosa Lettieri 6-2, 6-2.
Ashley Sawyer (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills) took two games in the first set but dropped her third singles match 6-2, 6-0.
Julienn Guzman (Jersey City, N.J./Liberty) battled Nicole Ferguson in fourth singles before being edged 6-2, 6-4.
Samantha Cruz (Andover, N.J./Central ) and
Briya Smallwood (Somerset, N.J./Bishop George Ahr) took two games in the third doubles flight but were upended 8-2.
