MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (4-6, 1-2 NJAC) was unable to find the back of the net, falling 2-0 to Montclair State (5-1-3, 1-1-1 NJAC) in conference action on Sept. 26.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Red Hawks got on the board in the 7th minute when Gabrielle Tancredi took a pass from Emily Beenders and pushed her shot pass the GK for her third goal of the season.
• Marisa Adelman (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) had the Pioneer's best scoring chance at the 62:20 mark, however, her potential equalizer struck the crossbar.
• Beenders concluded the scoring with an insurance strike in the 80th minute.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Sophomore Erica Hickey (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) went the distance in goal, recording four saves.
• WP outshot Montclair by a 15-12 margin.
