WAYNE, N.J. – Although the William Paterson field hockey team (3-5, 0-0 NJAC) found success in the circle, the Pioneers fell to Neumann (3-2, 0-0 AEC) in their Sept. 21 non-conference road game.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
	- Erica D'Mello gave the Knights the early lead in the 12th minute with an assist from Sam Pickler
- Freshman midfielder Hope Addlesberger (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) tied the game thanks to an assist from freshman back Abigail Viola (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) in the 24th minute
- Chelsea Kulesza of the Knights did not let the first half end without another goal, scoring in the 32nd minute to give the Knights the win
- The Pioneers fought in the second half by taking seven shots, but were unsuccessful in their efforts
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
	- Addlesberger's goal increased her season count to four goals so far in her rookie campaign
- The Pioneer defense, including senior goalie Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional), restricted the Knights to only four shots on goal throughout the entire game
