Video Highlights

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (4-3, 0-1 NJAC) utilized multiple triple-winning performances to defeat Immaculata (0-4, 0-2 Atlantic East) with a score of 87-52 on Dec. 1. 

TOP PERFORMERS:

• Vincent Giallombardo (Cottage Grove, Wisc./Monona Grove) won three races to help the Pioneers.  The sophomore earned victories in the 100 breast with a time of 1:07.81, the 200 breast with a time of 2:30.32, and the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.14.
• Senior Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) also recorded three victories.  He swam the 50 free in 23.89, the 100 free in 52.51, and the 100 fly in 59.03.
• Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) contributed two wins for the Pioneers.  The junior notched a time of 1:05.21 in the 100 back and a time of 2:24.56 in the 200 breast.
• Junior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) swam the 1000 free in 11:21.35 and the 500 free in 5:28.37 in his double-winning performance.   
• Senior Ryan Achyuthuni (Middletown, N.J./Middletown South) recorded a victory in the 200 free by swimming the race in 2:08.57. 
• Sophomore Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) touched first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:29.33.

• WP hosts Brooklyn on Sat., Dec. 8, at 1:00 p.m. for its Parent Appreciation meet.
