Men’s Soccer Can’t Hold Off Stockton in Second Half, 2-1

Harley Hands Pioneers First-Half Lead

GALLOWAY, N.J. – Senior forward Brandon Harley (Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken) handed the William Paterson men's soccer team (7-4-1, 2-3 NJAC) a first-half lead, but Stockton (7-5-1, 3-2 NJAC) struck twice during the second period for a 2-1 win Oct. 6.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Sophomore back Jordan Rosenblum (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) fed a ball in front to Harley, who finished in the 43rd minute for his third goal of the season and a 1-0 WP advantage.
  • The Ospreys' Christian Bik converted off a scramble for the equalizer in the 58th minute, and his pass set up junior John Maxted for the game winner with 5:27 remaining.
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Junior goalkeeper Kyle Quigley (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) played the first 8:47, and freshman Gabriel Reyes (Paterson, N.J./Ramstein) made three saves during the final 81:13.
