Men's Swimming and Diving Improves to 3-0 This Season

The Pioneers Defeated FDU-Florham 118-86

Senior Drew Macchia was a double winner.
MADISON, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-0) recorded their third victory of the season at FDU-Florham (0-2) with a 118-86 lead Oct. 19.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) was a double winner in the 50 free with a time of 23.47, and the 100 free with a time of 51.48.
  • Also a double winner, sophomore Vincent Giallombardo (Cottage Grove, Wisc./Monona Grove) touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:11.13), and the 100 breast (1:06.39). 
  • Junior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) swam in 1:56.62 to take home the 200 free.
  • The Pioneers won the 200 free relay in 1:36.03 with Logue (24.16), junior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) (24.20), Giallombardo (24.22) and Macchia (23.45).
