Despite Rickerhauser Recording her 300th Save, the Pioneers Dropped an NJAC Decision at Stockton, 3-0

Viola Tallied Two Shots on Goal

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson field hockey team (6-8, 1-3 NJAC) dropped their NJAC contest at Stockton (9-4, 2-2 NJAC), 3-0, on Oct. 13.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Stockton Ospreys scored two of their goals in the first half, first in the 3rd minute then in the 30th minute
  • The Ospreys finished up their scoring with another goal in the 56th minute
  • Senior goalie Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) tallied her 300th career save by saving four shots on goal
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Freshman forward Abigail Viola (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) took two shots on goal, but could not convert her attempts to goals
  • Two of the three shots by the Pioneers were on target but not successful
  • Rickerhauser now ranks second among Pioneer field hockey goalies for saves
