NEWARK, N.J. – A pair of late goals proved to be the difference as the William Paterson women's soccer team (5-9, 1-5 NJAC) suffered a 3-1 defeat at Rutgers-Newark (6-6-2, 2-4 NJAC) on Oct. 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• After the Scarlet Raiders took the in the 66th minute, WP wasted little time to score the equalizer, as Corrine Bowe (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) gathered a blocked attempt and poked her shot past the goalie just 16 seconds later.
• Rutgers-Newark would regain their advantage at the 77:41 mark on Shayna Bohus' strike.
• RUN would add an insurance tally six minutes later to conclude the scoring.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Junior Marisa Adelman (Branchburg, N.J./Somerville) led all players in shots (5) and attempts on target (2).
