WAYNE, N.J. – Three different players scored for the Pioneers and the William Paterson men's soccer team (2-1) earned their second consecutive victory by a 3-0 margin over Lehman (1-1) on a wet and rainy Wednesday evening at Pioneer Soccer Park.

Seniors
Dante Petrocelli (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) and
Zach Perez (Edison, N.J./Rutgers Prep) along with sophomore
Darwin Cruz (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne) tallied their first goals of the season for the Pioneers in the win. The offense was clicking all night for William Paterson, with the Pioneers controlling the tempo of the match, outshooting Lehman 18-4 and holding a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.

After several good offensive looks in the opening 20 minutes, the Pioneers found the back of the net in the 23rd minute when sophomore
Cameron Allen (Old Bridge, N.J./Saint John Vianney) sent a cross from the left wing into the box and found Petrocelli who finished with a header inside the right post for what would stand as the game-winning goal. Just nine minutes later William Paterson struck again, this time coming off a cross from the right flank from sophomore
Collin Yeiter (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.). Yeiter's initial cross was headed back across the goal mouth by classmate
Kyle Adams (Bordentown, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) and was eventually finished off with a header from Cruz to give the Pioneers a 2-0 advantage that the team took into the halftime break.

The Pioneers wasted no time putting the game away for good in the second half, scoring just 81 seconds into the stanza when Perez finished a corner kick from sophomore
Oscar Castillo (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) with a floated header that snuck under the crossbar for the final tally of the contest.

Sophomore keeper
Kyle Quigley (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) needed just two saves to remain unbeaten on the season, improving to 2-0 in goal. Freshman
Scott Altieri (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) also made his collegiate debut in goal in the second half, finishing off the clean sheet for the Pioneers.

William Paterson returns to action when they travel to Long Island this weekend to compete in the St. Joseph's College Invitational Tournament. The Pioneers take on host St. Joseph's (L.I.) on Saturday with kickoff slated for 12:00 p.m.
