GLENSIDE, Pa. – The William Paterson field hockey team (2-5) suffered a 3-0 loss at Arcadia (5-3) Sept. 20.
Freshman forward/midfielder Lauren Dougherty tipped a ball off the goalie for the game's opening goal at the 27:22 mark, and senior back Liz Stierle connected on an Isabelle Houser cross 1:39 into the second half. Houser's diving stab at Lindsay Bechtold's pass in the 57th minute finished the scoring for the Knights.

Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) finished with seven saves, and sophomore midfielder
Shannon Super (Oaklyn, N.J./Collingswood) chipped in a defensive save. Freshman Maya Stern made three stops for Arcadia.
William Paterson will start conference play Friday, Sept. 22, at home against Stockton at 7:00 p.m.
