CENTER VALLEY, PA. – After William Paterson (2-4) scored the equalizer early in the second half, DeSales (4-1) came up with a goal with 13 minutes remaining for a 2-1 field hockey victory Sept. 16.
 
The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first when junior forward Chelsea DeFrancisco chipped in a ball from freshman midfielder Becky Barley at the 17:03 mark.
 
Sophomore back Nicole Goitiandia (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) knotted the score at 1-1 3:02 into the second period, dribbling into the circle and firing for her third goal of the season.
 
DeSales secured the game winner at the 56:59 mark on a Christie Hansen goal off an assist from Madison Brader.

Sophomore Kerianne Brown (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) made six saves for the Pioneers, and classmate Alexis Land (Monroe, N.J./Monroe Twp.) chipped in a pair of defensive saves. Sophomore Katarina Polyviou notched four stops for the Bulldogs.
 
William Paterson will visit Arcadia Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 7:00 p.m.
