KANSAS CITY, MO. – William Paterson senior forward
Fredrik Hagbarth (Stockholm, Sweden/Kungsholmens Gymnasium) was acknowledged as a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court due to his accomplishments in the classroom.
Hagbarth, who also was selected to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Academic First Team, was the recipient of the WP Senior Scholar-Athlete Award, given to the graduating senior student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA. A Dean's List student every semester at WP while competing in 86 career games on the hardwood, he was a member of the 2015-16 Academic All-NJAC Second Team and the 2014-15 Academic All-NJAC Honorable Mention. An Honors College student, Hagbarth was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student-athlete honor society. He graduated summa cum laude in May with a double major in finance and global studies.
In order to be a member of the NABC Honors Court, student-athletes must be a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2, and must have attended their current institution for at least one academic year.
