Final Results
NORTH FRANKLIN, N.J. – The William Paterson golf team was overcome by FDU-Florham's impressive team outing Thursday afternoon, falling 304-345 in a dual match held at Black Bear Golf Course.

The score of 304 was the lowest team round for the Devils since posting a 303 in a dual match with Centenary College on September 28, 2012.

The Pioneers were led by freshman
Jack Maloney (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) and junior
William Rose (Totowa, N.J./Passaic Valley) who each carded rounds of 84 on the par-72 layout. Maloney finished with one red figure on the scorecard, making birdie at the par-five 2nd hole, en route to a front nine tally of 40. Rose also made birdie on the second, and also carded a birdie on the par-four 17th after struggling on the back nine.

Sophomore
Tyler Thomson (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was right behind Maloney and Rose, posting an 87 which featured a birdie on the par-three 11th, knocking his tee shot to tap-in range to bounce back from four consecutive bogeys. Freshman
Clinton Matthews (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) rounded out the team scoring for William Paterson with a 90, posting five pars on the day.

Freshman
Yash Dave (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor Plainsboro H.S. South) carded a 96 in his Pioneer debut, putting together four pars to begin the day to post a 45 on his outward nine.

The Devils were led by freshman Bobby Greer III and senior Daeshon Underwood with rounds of 74. Underwood posted the most exciting round of the afternoon, recording five birdies and an eagle on the driveable par-four 15th.

The Pioneers will close out their fall season on Sunday, October 8 when they take on New Jersey City University in a dual match at Galloping Hill Golf Course at 12:00 p.m.
