Woods Notches 200th Career Victory as Men’s Soccer Wins, 6-0

Brant-Sharp Has Hat Trick for Pioneers in Romp

Video Highlights

WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson men's soccer head coach Brian Woods recorded his 200th career victory, aided in part by a hat trick from freshman midfielder/back Keysean Brant-Sharp (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), as the Pioneers (3-1) rolled to a 6-0 home victory Sept. 7 against Mount Saint Vincent (0-2-1).

Junior midfielder JP Gonzales (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) took a WP corner from the left flagstick, and Brant-Sharp's header landed in the back of the net for his first collegiate goal and a 1-0 William Paterson edge at the 27:17 mark.

Senior midfielder George Bardis (Toms River, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) sprang Brant-Sharp on a quick break up the middle, and he beat the keeper 1v1 to the lower-left side of the frame for a 2-0 advantage in the 51st minute.

Bardis got into the scoring column himself 13 minutes later, as freshman midfielder Dromo Quaye (North Plainfield, N.J./North Plainfield) played a through ball and Bardis tucked it inside the left post.

Senior midfielder Juan Sebastian Londono (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) clipped a pass from the end line back across the box and junior midfielder Dante Petrocelli (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) headed it in to make it a 4-0 advantage in the 72nd minute.

Brant-Sharp finished off his hat trick at the 76:07 mark, dribbling in from the left wing and slotting a shot to the far post.

Freshman forward Dan Voelker (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater Raritan) converted a turnover on the left wing into an unassisted goal to the lower-right corner of the frame with 4:57 remaining.

Freshman keeper Kyle Quigley (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) made three saves during the first 71:12 for WP, and classmate Paul Caron (Hardyston, N.J./Sussex County Tech) played the final 18:48. Freshman Padelis Astrindis finished with four stops for the Dolphins.

Woods is 200-206-43 during his 25th season on the sideline, all at William Paterson.

The Pioneers will play at Vassar Saturday, Sept. 10, at 2:00 p.m.
