POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – William Paterson (3-2) suffered a 2-0 men's soccer loss at Vassar (4-0) Sept. 10.
Freshman forward Mattie Mrlik played a ball to sophomore back Mitch Davis on the right side, and he struck from inside the box to the far post in the 16th minute.
Mrlik got onto the end of a lofted pass from junior midfielder Hayden Van Brewer in the 79th minute, knocking it into the net for a late insurance goal.

Kyle Quigley (Columbus, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) made four saves for the Pioneers, and Brewer junior Matt Marcelino and freshman Will Marment combined for four saves and the shutout.
The Pioneers will face New Paltz at Vassar Sunday, Sept. 11, at 12:00 p.m.
