MAHWAH, N.J. – The William Paterson tennis team (0-7, 0-5 NJAC) fell just short at Kean (4-3, 2-1 NJAC), 5-4, Sept. 28.
 
Senior Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at first singles, and freshman Kaworu Ishikawa (Egg Harbor Twp., N.J./Egg Harbor Twp.) posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory at second singles.
 
LaBruna and junior Brianna Boyd (Delran, N.J./Delran) earned an 8-1 first-doubles win, and Ishikawa and sophomore Jessica Papin-Yukhtanova (Newton, N.J./Newton) were 8-5 victors at second doubles.
 
The Pioneers will celebrate Senior Day Sunday, Oct. 2, at home against Rutgers-Camden at 1:00 p.m.
