Brianna Reyes (Selden, N.Y./Newfield) tipped in a shot by senior midfielder
Courtney Allen (Woodbine, N.J./Ocean City) to give the Pioneers a 1-0 edge in the 45th minute.
Freshman forward
Michaela Meillier (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Holy Cross) doubled the advantage with a shot from in close at the 60:43 mark.
Sophomore
Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) had three stops for the Pioneers and senior midfielder
Meghin Stanton (Chesterfield, N.J./Northern Burlington Regional) added a defensive save. Senior Laura Aptowitz made eight stops for Union.
The Pioneers will start New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) play Saturday, Oct. 1, at No. 11 The College of New Jersey at 1:00 p.m.
